Role Overview

Medical Coder will play a key role in reviewing clinical documentation and translating it into standardized medical codes with accuracy and consistency. This position is ideal for candidates who are early in their medical coding career and possess foundational knowledge of coding principles, medical terminology and clinical concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret clinical records to identify relevant medical information.
  • Apply basic coding guidelines to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
  • Extract and record key clinical metrics or measure values as required. 
  • Maintain documentation quality by ensuring completeness, clarity, and compliance with coding standards

 

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions.
  • Beginner-level familiarity with medications, treatments, and clinical terminology.
  • Ability to work efficiently with computers and digital health records.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.

  • HCC Coding/Certified.

     

Required Certifications (Mandatory) 

  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder) 
  • CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) 

  • CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder)

     

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma in a healthcare-related field OR
  • Any Graduate with required skills
